Good lighting and composition, am not really good on portrait photography but this one is good, and yeah yeah yeah your pretty

while the pearls have a nice high contrast, the rest of the photos seems stuck in that middle gray area....

Nice, I agree with wysiwyg though. I think maybe a more of a head shot would suit this.
It's a lovely photo, but something about it that's a little off. I was thinking the color but I'm not sure.
The pearls are a beautiful contrast though.
*edit* I've worked it out. Perhaps if you cropped it a bit so that you cut off your shoulder ( It's a bit distracting ) and so the composition isn't centred anymore, it is to the right of the photo.
I'm not sure though.

Nice portrait. I might be inclined to crop about a 1/4 off the right side, and I wouldn't have clipped/cropped the pinky. I'm not sure if I like the pearls or not: I'm torn between the fact that they add an interesting contrast, and that they take my attention away from the face to much (i.e., they're distracting). Not sure. But as a whole, I really like it. The pose and look are good, the sepia works well, and the lighting is good as well.

I do think also this would look much more pro in BW, and agree with  Wysiwyg
